In spite of my efforts to “blend,” I continue to be the object of endless, unabashed ogling. Men, women and children burn holes in me with their eyes. I’m not sure which is worse: getting used to it, or not getting used to it…

    Oh don’t feel bad. As a people we stare , we don’t mean anything bad. It is just that we do not see what is wrong with staring. It is only the educated, city folk who try not to although they’d be quite happy to stare when you are not looking. It is nothing about you, it is just us.
